About Fernvale
Fernvale is a tiny, unincorporated community that embodies the rural beauty Williamson County is known for. Affectionately called “the Valley” by locals, it blends farmland, forests, and family ties into a way of life that is increasingly rare in Middle Tennessee.
Rural Heritage & Landscape
Sitting at the meeting point of the Central Basin and Western Highland Rim, Fernvale features dramatic ridge crests, wooded hills, waterfalls, and the fertile basin of the South Harpeth River. Multi-generational farms line the valley, and many homes still draw water from natural springs.
Community Values
Fernvale may be unincorporated but we are neighbors with deep ties to the land and each other, committed to preserving our small-town charm and family-friendly traditions…like the monthly potluck. Our proximity to the Natchez Trace Parkway draws cyclists in search of picturesque back country roads, hay bales, horses and cows.
Why It Matters
Once lost, Fernvale’s rural character cannot be reclaimed. Protecting its farms, forests, and waters is about more than preserving a landscape—it’s about safeguarding a way of life for generations to come.
